When should I start looking for my wedding dress?

Brides tend to start looking 12 months before the wedding and after they have chosen the venue, however there is no real set time for when to start looking for your dream dress just come in as early as you can as this can help all other plans just fall into place once you’ve chosen the one! It is also a good idea to be prepared to choose your dress within a month from when you started looking to avoid being disappointed that you can no longer get the dress that you fell in love with as it has been discontinued, as some designers only give 4 weeks notice that a dress will be discontinued so if you returned back a number of months later your dress may not be here anymore.

Once you have chosen your dream dress they can typically take 5 even 6 months to be made, then you need to allow 6 to 8 weeks for alterations. If you need a dress in a hurry there are some “off the peg” dresses you could take away that day. 

How many guests can I bring to my appointment?

It is a good idea to bring just 2 or 3 of your most trusted relatives or friends to help you make the decision, too many can make your appointment extremely confusing and overwhelming for you with too many opinions that could ultimately affect your decision, however if you do want to bring more guests that is fine........children are also welcome!

Do I need an appointment and how long will it be?

Saturdays are the busiest day so it is best to book an appointment by either phoning, using this website, by email or social media. During the week can be quieter so you can just call in, although appointments are always advisable. If you do just call in you will always be welcome at the boutique and if I am able to I will always fit you in so you can find your dream dress. Although the boutique has set opening times I understand that a brides time is valuable therefore if you need an appointment out of hours Sunday, Monday or evenings then just text or phone 07758364955 and I will accommodate the best I can.

Your appointment will be for 2 hours, this means you won’t feel rushed and you can try on a variety of dresses in a relaxed atmosphere. If you are unable make your appointment for any reason please just give me a call to cancel so another bride can be offered it.

Where are you based?

We are a boutique based in Boldmere, Sutton Coldfield near Birmingham. The shop is also in close proximity to Lichfield, Tamworth and Walsall.


Where can I park?

There is parking on Boldmere Road or many of the side roads along there. A car park is also situated off Redacre Road, just turn down the drive way where it says Boldmere Sheds. Alternatively there are pay and display car parks on Sutton Park Pub or the Harvseter. When you come to collect your  gown just pull up at the rear of the boutique and I will bring your dress out to the car! 

What sizes do you stock?

Sample sizes range from size 10 to 24 in a variety of different styles.

Can I take a photo?

It is better if you don’t take photos as a smart phone will not do the dress or yourself justice. Spot lights in the boutique can cast shadows on you and the dress and a phone camera is completely different to a professional one. 

How do I pay?

You can pay by cash, card or bank transfer. A 50% deposit is required before your dream dress can be ordered. Payment plans are also available to help spread the interest or fees will be charged for this service.
